Central Park was a part of Vivid Sydney for the first time in 2015. Streets Ahead complemented existing onsite public artworks and brought a unique beat to the new heart of ‘downtown’ Sydney.

A spectacular light show accompanied by an original music score projected on to the facade of the old brewery yard building.

Working with celebrated indigenous artist, Reko Rennie, who combined the iconography of his Aboriginal heritage with stylistic elements of graffiti to pay respect to Aboriginal culture in a modern context, while the distinctive works of multidisciplinary artist Beastman breathed movement and growth into a futuristic world of new life, hope and survival.

Vivid Sydney at Central Park

The beating heart of Central Park Mall is Australia's first super-sized digital interactive wall.

Designed by internationally renowned lighting expert, Bruce Ramus, this permanent installation fuses art, technology and design. It's a curious playful installation that rewards interaction.
