    CONSTRUCTION UPDATES MAY 2010

    • Work began on the main park and infrastructure - a large parcel of works including roads, footpaths, traffic lights and the main parkland itself - in March 2010. Excavation of the stormwater detention tanks beneath the main park is occuring, as well as excavation for the many pipes (water, electrical and mechanical) which run beneath this part of the precinct.
    • Night works will begin in Abercombie Street in late May for four months, as new stormwater connections are made.
    • Site preparation and remediation is underway in the Eastern portion of the site, which accounts for many of the diggers on site at present.
    • Central Park's display pavilion is under construction on Broadway, near the corner of Broadway and Abercrombie Street. This rather spectacular structure will house four display apartments to showcase the first residential release. A row of four temporary retail shops adjoins the display pavilion, opening in late Winter 2010.
